Production Sound Mixer Jamie Gambell Adopts the Sound Devices 688 Audio System
For the past 15 years, Jamie Gambell has been working in production sound. He started out in his native England as a trainee, went on to be a boom operator, and finally a sound mixer. In 2008, Gambell moved to the U.S., where he has been living ever since, working primarily on feature films and television productions.

Sara Watkins Records New Album at United
Singer-songwriter and fiddler Sara Watkins recorded tracks at United Recording for her new album, Young In All the Wrong Ways, due out July 1 on New West Records. The album was produced by fellow fiddler Gabe Witcher, a founding member of the seminal Bluegrass ensemble Punch Brothers.

VUE's newest loudspeakers will debut on Summerfest's Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage.

EAW and Mackie Announce L3 Tour
EAW and Mackie announce the L3 Tour, which kicks off on July 11, 2016 and runs through Labor Day, showcasing the companies' end-to-end audio system designed for production and system integration. EAW's RADIUS Series Network-Enabled Powered Loudspeakers and the Mackie AXIS Digital Mixing System (all prices TBA) are designed to work together to speed up setup time, reduce system costs and deliver a faster, more intuitive workflow.

Yamaha Professional Audio Division Announces Staff Promotions
Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio Division has announced the promotion of Paul Furtkamp to director of commercial audio (CA) sales, and that district managers Jonathan Peirson (West) and Doug Staab (East) have been promoted to take on the new regional management roles and will continue representing commercial audio dealers in geographically optimized sales territories.
